Rudolfsen standing with her work during her exhibit at UUU GALLERY in May, 2019

Danish born, New York visual artist Signe Rudolfsen utilizes her abstract figures as a "tool to spark conversation and reflections” while stimulating the viewer with her use of various materials, vibrant color patterns and shapes with acrylics. Growing up around her dad, a locally well respected painter and skilled hand-craftsman, resulted in her learning various practical skills at a very young age and expanding her canvas to multiple mediums. She is fascinated with the textures and history of the various material she uses; an old mid century cabinet or beautifully woven fabric, she repurpose it and leaves parts exposed to show it’s history. From canvas and digital art prints to hand painted earrings and clothing, it’s obvious she doesn’t limit her self or the viewer.
